Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners.
2. Cookies We Use
We use a minimal set of cookies, all strictly related to operating the service:
Essential cookies
The dashboard application uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is HttpOnly (not accessible to JavaScript) and expires after 8 hours. It contains a signed token identifying your account: your user ID, email address, organisation, and role. It is used only to authenticate your requests and is never shared with third parties.
Analytics cookies (PostHog)
We use PostHog to understand how visitors use our marketing site and product dashboard. Analytics is off by default: PostHog only loads after you choose "Accept all" in the consent banner. PostHog sets cookies that track your session, device type, and which features you interact with. No content from your documents or templates is sent to PostHog.
PostHog cookies are first-party (set on the bulkrender.com domain). We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or third-party tracking networks.
Cookie summary
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| token | Essential. Dashboard session cookie that keeps you logged in (HttpOnly, signed). | 8 hours |
| ph_phc_*_posthog | Analytics. PostHog cookie that distinguishes visitors and sessions. Only set after you accept analytics. | 1 year |
| br_consent | Stores your analytics consent choice. Held in browser localStorage, not a cookie, and never sent to our servers. | Until you change preferences or clear site data |
3. Your Choices
The consent banner asks before any analytics loads. Choose "Essential only" and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is remembered per browser on the marketing site and the dashboard separately.
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an automatic opt-out: analytics never loads and the banner is not shown.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking the essential session cookie will prevent you from logging in to the dashboard.

4. Changes to This Policy
If we introduce new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this page and revise the date above.
